In Union County: Dale/Engle/Walker
This is our first conservation easement. The 137-acre property was placed under easement protection by the late Charles and Rosemary Walker. It is currently owned by the Union County Historical Society. The limestone home, dating to 1792, serves as a meeting site, office space, and public program location for both the society and the conservancy. A two mile hiking trail takes one along Buffalo Creek, past a pond, through mature forest and active agricultural land. The site is frequently used by Bucknell University for class studies and individual research.
