Landscape Memory: A Brief History of the Susquehanna Watershed by Ben Hayes, Bucknell University.

Memory plays an important role in other functions that directly impact our physiological and psychological makeup and well-being. The same is true for nature. This presentation explores the enchanted Susquehanna River, looking for clues to its fascinating geologic and anthropogenic past, and how scientists apply modern principles and methods to assess the health, resiliency, and well-being of the watershed today. Ben Hayes is the director of the Watershed Sciences & Engineering Program at Bucknell’s Center for Sustainability & the Environment.
